At RINO List we believe we have a responsibility to post positive stories from time to time to encourage our readers. Not everything is bad in our world, and we appreciate those people who are doing good things for others. Here is one such story.

Lewis & Janice Beeler are Baptist missionaries in the country of Ecuador, South America. They are there to start new Baptist churches, an anti-abortion counselling center, a Bible institute, and a Christian book store. We would like to share here a little about their book store, and give our readers the opportunity to help the Beelers with their good works in South America.

The Beelers desire to start a Christian Book Store to make available Christian literature to the general public in Cuenca, Ecuador. At the present time it is nearly impossible to purchase a Bible in the country of Ecuador. The book store will also provide necessary Christian literature for the students at the Andean Bible Institute, a ministry of Good News Mission Society, Inc. The Book Store will also be a place for students from the Bible institute to work, giving them a way to defray the cost of their Bible education. The Book Store will be an open Christian environment where freedom of ideas can exist without intimidation from those who oppose Christianity. Andean Book Store will be owned and operated by Good News Mission Society, Inc., a non-profit religious society, based in Snow Camp, North Carolina. GNMS is a small group of Baptist missionaries working together to spread the message of Christianity in Ecuador and around the world.

Top Ten Things an Exceptional Conservative Can Do!

Last week, I had the great honor to be a guest on Ken McClenton’s amazing show, “The Exceptional Conservative!” It was simply a marvelous experience! Here is the audio replay of that show!

Ken has a heart to reach his community with the powerful message of God’s plan for human freedom. I share the same heart to reach as many people with the message that God created them, that we spurned His love and sinned against Him. Then, our Creator, in His boundless love, sent His Son Jesus to us, in order to save us from our sins. As well, our Creator bestowed on us the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

I had the privilege to tell Ken that there are TEN THINGS everyone can do to be an Exceptional Conservative and an Exceptional American! If you do not have time to listen to the program, but still want to be an Exceptional Conservative, here is my Top Ten List:

Ten things every American can do to help our country

1. Read the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution! I read them several times a year and each time I tear up thinking of what these people went through in order to do this. Amazing!

2. Practice what you read there! Practice civil responsibility by financially and physically supporting a true Tea Party Candidate.

3. Practice your Second Amendment rights by studying, taking a safety course, and purchasing a firearm. Also, check out a gun show for more convenient purchasing options. Check with your local sheriff for regulation and legal information. They are there to help!

4. Practice civil disobedience to all gun registration laws like thousands of your fellow Americans have done in Connecticut, the state where the tragic shooting at Sandy Hook happened.

5. Practice frugality by taking your money out of the stock market. ALL OF IT! EVEN YOUR 401K NOW! Read Zerohedge, and live within your means!

6. Discuss! Do not just sit in your homes venting to one another! Find someone of the other side to talk to, and convert him or her! You have the knowledge and you have a voice! Use them!

7. Exercise your freedom of Religion by actually attending Church or Synagogue.

8. Read the Bible! It was the founding document that all of the framers had read numerous times, and that they all cited as inspiration for our country! It is still a relevant book for today, even more so as we see the direction of our country!

9. Do what I did tonight with believers in Ecuador, PRAY! PRAY! PRAY! We were a prayerful nation in the past, and we could be again if each of us pray!

10. I am not a prepper, but I am prepared to meet my God. That preparation of the soul gives me the power and strength to be prepared to help my friends and family in the future. Don’t be a prepper, but be prepared to help your friends and family, trusting in God to get you through. Dark days are ahead!

So what is a RINO anyway?

Putting it succinctly, A RINO is a person who claims to be a Republican, but who does not hold to basic conservative Republican party ideals.

It is relatively easy to spot a RINO, because they do not hold to a traditional conservative Republican value system.

A RINO will NOT hold to one or more of the following core Republican positions:

Belief in individual person’s right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, whether man, woman, elderly, child or yet unborn.
Defending the Constitution and the Bill of Rights; especially the right to keep and bear arms, and the right to practice the religion of ones own choosing.
Protecting the rights of the family against illegitimate government intrusions.
Standing for a strong national defense, and fulfilling our commitment to our veterans.
Keeping our commitments to our allies, and opposing totalitarian regimes.
Holding the Federal government to its legitimate constitutional functions.
Opposing judicial activism, and oppressive taxation by congress, states and local governments.
Defending the right to commerce, and the individual’s right to work.
Sound environmental stewardship, and opposition to protectionism.
An affordable private healthcare system that is accessible to all.
Supporting individual state public education systems by keeping them local.
Supporting local law enforcement, and defending our borders.

Updated: As per the suggestion in the comments section, any Republican that has voted for any version of the Affordable Healthcare Act IS a RINO (Obama Care). Any Republican that has voted for the Wall Street Bailouts IS a RINO. These two transformative votes could not be a more clear indication of core beliefs.

Opposing all bailouts of Wall Street Firms
Opposing the mandate to buy insurance foisted on the American people
Supports the repeal of the Healthcare Bill signed by President Obama

This is not an exclusive list, but does cover those general areas most usually forsaken by a RINO.

The Original RINO

The acronym RINO was coined by Republican Celeste Greig, who applied the term to the Los Angeles Mayor, Millionaire Richard J. Riordan, the original RINO. Mayor Riordan was a “Moderate Republican” who used his millions to finance his election effort to become mayor of Los Angeles, while accepting and giving moral and financial support to Liberal Democrats throughout his career.
